I am trying to execute the below code and I get an error saying The connection has timed out.. Please advise! 

filename junk url 'http://support.sas.com' debug lrecl=8192;

data http;

infile junk length=len;

input record $varying8192. len;

run;

log:

ERROR: The connection has timed out..

NOTE: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of errors.

WARNING: The data set WORK.HTTP may be incomplete.  When this step was stopped there were 0 observations and 1 variables.

WARNING: Data set WORK.HTTP was not replaced because this step was stopped.

Possibly HTTPS might help. As that is where your specified URL redirects to if entered directly into a browser...

I tried using HTTPS too, it doesn't work either. Same error: connection timed out.

Issue resolved. I tried running the program from PC sas instead of EG. Program completed successfully.
