Hello everyone!

I am trying to view relationships between terms in Lineage through the "Lineage diagram" option from BDN.

As you can see below, there are 6 relationship types that can be depicted in Lineage.

I would like to ask how can I demonstrate the terms in BDN in order to perform the relationship types (such as "contains", "is dependent on" etc.)  in Lineage?

For example, I understand that I can present the relationship type "is parent of"  in the Lineage through the "Select a parent" option from BDN.

This relationship will be clearly presented in Lineage.

But how about the other relationship types?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

There are two kinds of relationships here: SAS application data relationship and business relationship.

The relationship in “SAS Business Data Network” is business relationship.

The relationship in “SAS Lineage” is SAS application data relationship.

SASLineage is used to show application data relationships from relationship service, not the business relationships in BDN.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Audrey

Hi,

Thank you very much for your response.

So, the business relationship includes only the "is parent of" and "is associated with" relationship types which can be presented in Lineage as well.

While the application data relationship includes all the other relationship types ("is dependent on", "contains", etc.) which cannot be presented somehow in BDN, right?

Is there any documentation in order to create a view in Lineage with all the possible relationship types?
