There are protected folders associated with the course, where you are not allowed to save files, and unprotected folders in your home area that are intended for YOUR files.

Remote processing, like SAS On-Demand for Academics, requires input files on the same remote platform. Think of the security implications if they could access files on your own PC!!

Hi weijie,
We will probably need some more information about where this is happening:
Browser software and version.
Browser operating system.
Network speed.
I don't think it is a SAS Studio problem, but it could be due to your browser not displaying your screen quick enough! Could you try using a different browser please, and see if that makes any difference?

@acleamon ,
When I was learning SAS I was encouraged, no threatened, that if I hadn't read the SAS Log no-one would believe that my program had failed!! The reason is that the SAS Log often has THE answers to your questions about why your SAS program has died/crashed/failed, and I should read the SAS Log first to avoid being laughed it.
My experience, so don't make it yours too. Give us a look at your SAS Log!!

Is parks the name of a sheet in that Excel file? Try using the following code to list ALL of the data sets in NP:
PROC CONTENTS DATA=NP._ALL_;
RUN;

Have you read the SAS log produced when you ran your program? Was there anything interesting or useful there to tell you why it is not working? Can you post a copy of the entire log here please?

While your code is readable, your data is not. Therefore, as frequently requested here and I hope you have also read it, please include a copy of your program log, as it will detail the errors and, possibly, offer suggestions too!

I am going to be banned for this comment, but Altair SLC can combine SAS, R and Python in the same program!

Hi THE_HUMAN_UNIT,
If you are looking for advice, then treat the 1st run of a program as a prototype by limiting the processing time to a minimum. This would have saved you losing code and information, and is especially important when the program is likely to run for an extended time.
Another tip would be to save the program BEFORE submitting it. I have been doing that much more recently, because my own programming platform has become a little more unstable. It has saved me quite a bit of programming time!

Hi Yash10,
Unfortunately you home region in SAS On-Demand for Academics is tied permanently to your SAS profile email address. However, I now have 2 regions, because I created 2 SAS profiles with different email addresses. Some email providers allow you to create "parallel" email addresses by adding something like to "+xxx" before "@" (see https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Software-for-Learning/SODA-My-default-server-is-Europe-but-I-need-to-create-a-course/m-p/928057#M1858).
Good luck.............Phil

Hi THE_HUMAN_UNIT,
Could it be that the SAS program is in a loop?
Please can you post the program here, so that we can check it for issues?

Hi TTMunnings0608,
I believe your username is fixed, but you could apply a SAS format to it, so it shows with your full name:
PROC FORMAT;
VALUE $fullname
'hollandnumerics' = 'Philip Holland'
;
RUN;
DATA _NULL_;
LENGTH username $10;
FORMAT username $fullname30.;
username = "&sysuserid.";
PUT username=;
RUN;
Just update the $fullname format to map your SAS Studio username to your full name, and see what happens.
