I love a good story – telling, reading and sharing one – it’s what makes me tick. So as a professional communicator, I’m completely in my realm. I get to listen to, learn from and talk with customers everyday as an online community manager for the SAS Support Communities. With a specific focus on the SAS Data Mining and Data Management Communities, I also look after many others just getting off the ground. My community super power is making connections – from member-to-member or member-to-information – so that SAS users have a sense of belonging on the community.
Other responsibilities at SAS have included identifying and developing communications strategies that tell the brand and product story in editorial campaigns. Think content marketing through blogs, web sites, newsletters, and magazines.
Prior to SAS, I wore a double account management and business development hat for G&S Business Communications in the biopharmaceutical, healthcare technology and animal health fields. And before that, I managed pharmaceutical accounts for full-service advertising agency Rockett, Burkhead & Winslow.
