Yesterday, we mentioned the importance of flexibility and responding to your audience during a demo. For me, part and parcel of this is encouraging my audience to ask questions at any time.

I know that not everybody likes this approach. However, I think it is immensely valuable—and on several occasions, it has helped me to avoid demo disaster. my audience to ask questions at any time.

It is true that questions can disturb the flow of the demo or my storytelling. However, in the end, your audience decides if your presentation was successful. If someone has a question, it means that they want an answer.

What’s more, allowing and answering questions at any time during the presentation helps me keep in contact to my audience. If somebody asks a question, it can be a hint that they are looking for something different. I may even need to adjust my demo. I consider it a very helpful way of getting timely feedback from the audience.

Embrace questions. They tell you what your audience wants to know.
