David New is a Senior Account Executive, working with SAS’s life sciences clients to use analytics and data to drive innovation and deliver profitable outcomes to their organizations. Prior to SAS in his career with IBM, Mr. New had a number of roles, including positions working with CxOs in IBM’s largest Public Sector and life science clients to extract value from industry solutions. Recent work with life science clients includes enabling dashboards with analytics that track production quality in manufacturing facilities for executive and operational management, helping another life science company modernize their integration between diverse information sources into data management and analytical platforms and working with another biopharmaceutical company to re-platform their clinical development environment into a public cloud architecture. He graduated summa cum laude from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelors of Industrial Engineering and has completed certification in application of technology to business through Harvard University, Boston University and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He has been credentialed in healthcare, leadership, cloud and cognitive technologies. He is one of the co-authors of Healthcare 2015 and U. S. Health Plans: New Roles, New Competencies, an IBM thought leadership publication about the future of healthcare.
