Hi,   I need to compare two different sas datasets lying in two different servers. One is Unix and the other one is in Windows.  I am running my sas session in windows , connecting to Unix using SAS/CONNECT to compare both the datasets.  The program is throwing an error that the local library is not recognised.   Hi,   My requirement is to migrate the SAS Application running in Unix platform to Linx platform. It also has version upgrade from SAS 9.3 to 9.4.     This system mainly has ETL jobs/flows and SPD server with clustered tables. Hi,   We have a proposal to migrate the existing SAS platform from current Data Center to a new Data Center.  The current platform has 6 windows servers (2012 R2 and all virtaul) and these windows servers together have different SAS servers (batch server , metadata server,web server , Federation  Server , Data Flux , Visual Analytics  etc ) installed in them.   Is it possible to migrate them V2V (Virtual to Virtual). Hi ,   My requirement is to migrate the SAS application from AIX 7.1 (SAS9.3)  to Linux.(SAS9.4).   This application has SAS BI Suite as well (DI Studio,SAS EG, SAS IDP and SAS Web Report Studio).  I am thinking of two options.   1)  Migrate the source system to Linux with SAS version 9.3  and then upgrade the SAS version to 9,4 2)  Install SAS 9.4 on Linux in target environment  and then migrate the application  from source to target 3)  I believe the metadata package exported in SAS 9.3 would  not have any problem while importing into SAS9.4.  Any other eay of doing this.   Which one would be a better choice between 1 and 2  here. Hi,   We are working on a plan to migrate SAS Applications from Unix (AIX 7.1 and SAS 9.4)  to Linux (RedHat RHEL 7.4 and SAS 9.4). As part of this, the data is also to be migrated.  There are many ways to migrate SAS data. We have around 40 TB data to be migrated.   Any idea how long would it take , as a sample , to migrate 5GB of data.  I vividly remember that it has taken me around 8 hours for  2GB data from Mainframes to Linux using PROC CPORT  and PROC CIMPORT. This I have done 2 years ago.   Any suggestions  regarding the data migration would really be helpful. How can the data of this volume can be migrated the best possible way.   This data has  normal sas datasets , spd datasets , catalogs and program files.    Program files should not take much time as they are just like ordinary files, which do not require  any additional work with SAS Procedures.     Thanks, ... Hi,   As there are different ways to migrate the sas datasets from one Operating System to the other,  should the index files be copied separately.   1) I assume that the index files (.SAS7BNDX) would automatically be copied  when the associated SAS Datasets are copied..
