Dear Team, Good Morning. I work for a supply chain company. I am currently working on a project where i need to know how much a destination is receiving weight from other locations and similarly what it is sending to other locations. for example: Part1: I have city as "Bangalore" which is sending weight to all parts of India- City A, B, C etc. hence i need to know what is total weight sent to City A from bangalore, City B etc. Part 2: When we have "Bangalore" as a destination then it is receiving from various cities as mentioned above- City A, B, C etc. So i need to know what is actual amount and in % what is being sent from bangalore to various destinations and also which destinations are the highest load supplier to bangalore. I hope i am able to narrate my requirement correctly. Below attached is some sample data. Thanks for the help.

HI Jaap, My question is that for multiple cities (city is a categorical variable) I have related delay in number of days. These days are numeric like 1, 2, 10, 40 etc hence if i want to test any assumptions say whether city and number of delay days correlated i cant do that cause it voilates the assumptions of correlation. Similarly as there are multiple data values for each city (multiple delay dates) i also cant run anova or ttest hence please advice what test should be deployed here. writting a code is not a concern here. its how the relationship should be tested.

Hi. I am working on a data where there are 65000 observations. this is a transport delay data for various cities. So i need to find if there is a relation between the cities and the delay in days. T-test and ANOVA cannot be conducted as day is a numeric value and city is a categorical value. Also would it be advisable if i aggrgate the data i.e. total of delay in days for a particular city and then run some descriptive analysis. Please suggest.

No, its still gives an error. ERROR: File _IMEX_.'Sheet1$'n.DATA does not exist. ERROR: Import unsuccessful. See SAS Log for details.

Hi, I am trying to import an excel file with 65000+ observations and 20 variable however i am receiving an error message while importing the file in sas. Below is the error message and the code used for importing the same:- PROC IMPORT OUT= WORK.Trans DATAFILE= "F:\dell blue\Data Backup 05-02-2014\Downloads\SAS Study Material\Statisitical Projects\Delay Transport Data\Delay_Status_ Data.xls" DBMS=EXCEL REPLACE; RANGE="Sheet1$"; GETNAMES=YES; MIXED=NO; SCANTEXT=YES; USEDATE=YES; SCANTIME=YES; RUN; Error Mesage:- WARNING: Failed to scan text length or time type for column ( same error message for multiple columns) Kindly advice.

Hi. During the Modelling process, if we have selected some of the variables and we see that for one of the very significant variable the values are missing so is there a threshold or industry specified % for the variable to be kept in the model and ignore the missing values. I understand that we can replace the missing values with either the mean or the median of the variable however wanted to see if statisitcally there is a threshold. Regards, Shivi

Hi, I am building a multiple logistic regression model in sas. The model is significant after consulting the concordant and C statisitc value. Also the other statisitc such as discordant, Somer's D, multicollinearity, AIC are under the allowed limits. The residuals also meet the assumptions of the model. However I have a question - do i still need to use the model selection techniques - forward, backward or stepwise regression. What i have learnt so far from reading literature is that these techniques could slow down the modeling process. Could you please advice under what circumstances it is best to use these selection techniques and should there be a minimum number of independent variables while doing so. Thanks you. Shivi

During research I found both phreg and prog reg can be handy in doing so with some keywords added. However I am a bit confused - what is the situation where i could use phreg and not proc reg and vice versa and both can be used. Kindly advice.
