There is defenitely more in the log ... you should post that to help us helping you (as @andreas_lds has already pointed out). You should see the sql statements being executed and the macro code being digested (but not run, as @Astounding has detailed). I can only agree ... you are not executing the macro, so whatever you see as/in tables are probably results from previous runs. --FJa

Hello! Both, Python and R, have been around for quite a while now ... and have not replaced anything, yet ... but have complemented existing solutions. So my money is on that they won't replace SAS in the future. SAS is an old trusted war horse, so you are probably on the save side to invest in learning it. And what might be more, statistical programming is a general craft that quite independent from the platform actually used. It is a way of thinking ... and approaching problems posed. 🙂 But of course there will always be new ideas and new tools in this rapidly changing world ... we have to keep pace with it as well as SAS has to. So, let's do our very best. 🙂 --FJa

Dear community! I am not able to spot the recording of "Ask the Expert: Encoding in SAS and considerations when moving from WLATIN to UTF-8" broadcast on Jan 24th, 11-12 (probably GMT+1). Now I sort of lost the invitation and the only thing I could get hold of was the caldav entry. So I do not know time, place or language for sure. Is there any central place for all recordings (i.e. without any restriction as to the language it was held in)? Cheers FJa PS: Pointing out that I am too stupid for the search function is an acceptable answer ... but in this case do not let me die dumb and enlighten me, please. 🙂
