We have SAS running on windows 2012 server and using Enterprise Guide to connect to the server. I am not able to see the mapped network file shares from SAS EG > SASApp > Files. I can see the local drives on the compute server but not the mapped drives. Is there any configuration to be updated in order to see the mapped drives from EG? Thanks, Karthik

We are expereicing slowness in EG 7.11 when we open a large project. There is almost a 45 seconds lag when we try to switch to EG from other application. This is happeneing with large EG projects. The same projects work fine on EG 5.1 Does anyone else expereicned this issue? Also, it takes a while when we try to open/close the project. Also, while closing how to stop SAS on checking temporary data? It takes 3 - 4 minutes when I close the project in EG 7.11

I dont think, the problem is with the sastruct credentails as you were able to validate sas content server successfully. Do you know if all the users are having the problem or just you? I am thinking that it might be problem with the Enterprise Guide installation as EG uses .net framework to communicate with web based applications. Try doing the same on a different computer or try reinstalling enterprise guide. Karthik

Can you try validating the SAS Content server from Management Console? Also did you check if sastrust@saspw acount is locked?

Can you send me the content of the error message? I wanted to see if I have got the same mesaage. Also, please check if you have multiple web services deployed with the same name. The issue which I have came across was because of two werb services with the same name. Deleting one web service fixed the issue. SAS Folders > system > services > web services

Yes, Users do have necessary permissions to the Metadata folders. I can create a new folder under 'My Folder' but not able to rename it or write any projects to it. Regarding the logs, I enabled logging in EG and I see similar error messages.

Actually, I am trying to save Enterprise Guide projects, not the data. I found the below sasnote, but the issue is not with EG as I am able to do the same on different servers. 52662 - You cannot save a SAS® Enterprise Guide® 5.1 project to the SAS Folders tree in SAS® 9.4 TS1M0 and TS1M1

I am getting the error message 'Unable to access the midtier service registry' when I try to save the data to Metadata folders. I am able to save it to the physical path on the servers, but not the metadata folders. Can anyone please advice?

Hello, I am having the similar issue with SAS Eminer 12.1. Getting the error message while trying to login. I tried with the lower version of javam but still no luck. Were you able to get the issue resolved. Thank You, Karthik Bachu

Hi All, I am getting the below error in SAS EG 4.2 when I tried to open it. EG has been just fine since many days and sudeenly the below error started popping up. Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program C:\Program Files\SAS/Enterprise Guide\SEguide.exe The application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way, Please contact the application support team for more information. Does anyone know about the aboive error message? I searced in many online blogs, but didnt get a reasonable solution. Thank You

Hi Paul, Thanks for your respone. By Default SAS 9.3 back up and restore will create the metadata backup under SASC-Config/Lev/SASMeta/MetadataServer/Backups/ We can specify a different path other than the one specified by default. My question is, if there is any way I can have backups created under SASC-Config/Lev/SASMeta/MetadataServer/Backups/ location and also under a different location(Round Robin) using SAS 9.3 backup and restore wizard. And also SAS 9.3 backup and restore is allowing me only to schedule the backups over a period of week. Is there any other facility I can schedule the backups on a monthly basis? Thanks, Karthik

Hello All, I have few questions regarding SAS 9.3 backup and restore. 1. Is it possible to create the metadata backup at two different locations. backup configurations is allowing me to specify only one location through SAS Management Console 2. Is it possible to schedule monthly metadata backups rather than scheduling it weekly. From SAS Management Console I only see the option to schedule weekly backups. Thank You, Karthik
