Hi all, The table1 has new IDs with character datatype in date,var2 but the table2 has numeric datatype in date,var2. I need to update the new IDs & new record of existing IDs from table1 to table2. (Output - 123, 321) Kindly let me know for any clarification.

Dear Experts, I need to match the value of a particular cell(in Variable1) to another cell(of Variable2) which placed in different Observation. I'll share the example set to make it a clear picture. data have; input ID D1$ D2$ D3$ Dx1$ Dx2$ Dx3$; cards; 123 Med1 Med4 Med3 abc . . 456 Med2 Med5 Med7 def . . 789 Med3 Med3 Med2 ghi . . 147 Med4 Med6 . jkl . . 258 Med5 Med1 Med8 mno . . 369 Med6 Med2 . pqr . . ; run; The D1 refers to Medicine name; Dx1 refers to Generic name. I updated the Dx1 value manually. All I need to update the matched values in all the consecutive variables (Dx2, Dx3,...). Once the Dx1 and Dx2 are updated. I turn the same step for Dx3 using the Combination match of Dx1 and Dx2 = Dx3. Kindly let me know for any clarification required in this query. Dear Experts, I need a patient count for the condition based on the cancer occurrence. I'll share the sample dataset and the expected result for your reference. data have; input ID Date mmddyy10. Inf Cancer; cards; 123 05/05/2000 1 0 123 08/07/2001 0 1 123 06/07/2002 1 0 159 01/03/2001 1 1 159 02/08/2002 0 1 618 07/07/2005 0 0 618 05/03/2006 1 0 789 06/06/2000 1 0 789 04/02/2001 0 1 789 03/03/2002 1 0 789 03/03/2002 0 0 run; I required 2 different outputs based on 2 conditions to get the patient IDs. Patients who are Infected(Inf=1) after/same date on cancer (cancer=1) Expected Output(IDs 123,159,789). Patients who are Infected(Inf=1) before cancer (cancer=1) Expected Output(IDs 123,789). Kindly suggests a code to get the patient IDs list at the end of the result. Note: The first occurrence of Cancer is matters but not the following occurrence.

DSD NDSD; format Vdate mmddyy10.; cards; 123 05/05/2000 0 1 123 08/04/2010 0 1 123 06/12/2012 1 0 123 12/02/2015 0 1 789 11/07/1998 1 0 789 10/08/2000 0 1 789 10/08/2000 0 1 951 02/02/2010 0 1 752 08/12/2019 1 0 521 09/09/2005 0 1 521 07/02/2009 1 0 ; I need all obs of IDs that are Nondiseased(NDSD=1) on their first visit date and Diseased(DSD=1 i.e NDSD=0) later on any occurrence. Expected result: keep all obs of 123, 521 IDs. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your response @Rick_SAS . It works well. I need one more clarification. Once I get the odds ratio using OR and Exact, I just cross verified with Fisher Exact in R programming. It returns the same pValue but different Odds ratio. May I know why it differs in the Odds ratio?

Dear Experts, I used the Fisher Exact test to estimate the significance of 2 variables. It returns exact pValue but I failed to get the Odds ratio for the method. proc freq data=Beact.AllinOne; tables var1*var2 / fisher norow nocol; run; Kindly suggest the key code to get the Odds ratio for Fisher Exact Test. Hi @danalukowski228 I wishing you an ocean of good luck and success in your upcoming exam. I have done my Base SAS certification in January 2018 with 83%. 1. The considerable pass mark is 70% and above. 2. You no need to wait for your exam result. At the end of the test session, your score report will be generated on the screen. Using the registration number you ll download your certificate on the SAS website. Good luck.

Dear Experts, I have to get the Cancer_onset_Date(Date column) using the (Age) month day year specified in the text column. I shared the sample dataset for your reference. data aaa; Input ID DOB mmddyy10. Comments$90.; format DOB mmddyy10.; cards; 183556 03/13/1965 Cancer since 6 Months detected at the age of 53 Years 5 Month 13 Days in the yr 2018 452890 08/02/1950 Cancer since 25 years. Detected at the age of 43 years in the year 1994. run; All I need is to find the date of the IDs which fall under that age month days year. If the month/date is not specified, Replace the month/date as same as from the IDs DOB. Thanks in advance!
