I installed SAS 9.2 Phase 2 and EG 4.2 today too. I even managed to run my PROC REPORT custom task (written for EG 4.1) in it, but, although all the GUI, selections and code generation worked fine, the task couldn't find the SAS code to run it! 😞 While full documentation of the add-in model would be good, a list of differences between EG 4.1 and 4.2 would be more useful now. ........Phil ... Chris, I found something similar to your code in the Compare Add-In code in the VB.Net Samples. Unfortunately, although it works very well when picking up the labels from the underlying data set, if I've changed the label or format in the SAS Variable Selector object, it ignores those changes. Is there any interface to the SAS Variable Selector object that can give me the changed label or format? Redha, Please can you provide a little more information about your use of EG: (1) Are you running the programs on your Local Server or on a remote server? (2) If you are running on a Local Server, are your permanent libraries on your PC, or somewhere on the network? (3) Do you create a WORK copies of the permanent data sets from the network at the start of the program and then process these, or are you reading these permanent data sets each time? (4) Are you creating output directly to a network drive at each step, or just writing the output locally?
