Hi There, I just got the email alerts set up for SAS Environment Manager alerts and I was just wondering how can we change the alert email subject. Currently I am getting email alerts with subject line like "[HQ] !!! - Data Mart APM ETL APM ETL Processing fixed", "[HQ] ! - [SAS] - TCP Attempt Fails hostname@example.com" etc. I would like to prefix the subject line with SAS and for which environment that alerts has been issued. for example "[SAS] - [TEST/DEV/PROD]". Though I found a pretty slick way of doing this by changing the alert name in alert definition but there are hundreds of alert available in each environment, changing alert name manually is not a feasible option. I'm sure there must be some config file or some setting that could do this in one shot. Thanks in advance.

Hi There, How can we list out all the available sas alerts along with their definition and status (active/in-active)? Is it possible to get some sort of report for this may be excel, html, or any sas report? Thanks in advance.

Hi @jklaverstijn, Thanks for your quick response. We are on Linux platform. And yes we do have SAS Environment Manager installed. Does these alerts are only limited to Environment Manager or they can also be sent out as an email to entire team? Also, is there's any specific section/chapter in admin guide that I can focus more for email alerts? Thank you.

Hi there, Our environment is fairly new and not very stable, so I want to set up email alerts for our admin team to notify them of any failure with sas servers and services. Did some googling about how to set it up but didn't found much help. Could anyone please point me to some documentation and/or posts regarding setting up email alerts? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @JuanS_OCS, Thanks for you prompt response. Yes, we do have distributed Linux environment and we do have those Administrative reports configured already. No doubt, these reports are very helpful and informative. However, I just took another look at those reports they give a bunch of information like who is using LASR tables, what actions are being performed, in what capacities they are being used etc. but I'm afraid I din't find anything that tells me how those tables are loaded into LASR. Is there's a way I can get this information extracted from logs or something into Excel sheet, may be via some SAS code or something else?

Hi There, In our environment there are hundreds of tables living in LASR, and whenever there is any maintenance scheduled on servers or if servers goes down due to some reason, we always trouble getting the tables back to LASR server. The main reason we trouble with loading tables back to server is because some of the tables are loaded via Data Integration Jobs, some of them are manually loaded by developers as external flat files, some are auto loaded via VA auto load libraries etc. So we don't know for which tables we have to run a DI job or whatever to get them back to LASR. It would be really nice to have if we could get some report out of SAS that would tell us how those tables are loaded in LASR i.e. via DI job, auto loaded by VA, imported from external files etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Yes, I understand that and I am actually looking to answer 1.) here. Because we are actually interested what products users can access regardless what they are actively using. And, by looking at metadata logs, it would only tell us what they are currently using and not what they are capable of accessing.

Hi There, I recently got a request from higher authorities to prepare a report on what SAS products are accessible/ available to sas users in a given environment. I did some research on this but didn't find much help. I want a report something like this, UserName SAS Products user_xyz SAS Visual Analytics SAS Enterprise Guide SAS Data Integration Studio user_123 SAS Report Viewer user_abc SAS Business Data Network SAS DataFlux Data Management Studio I know there are reports available that lists out the users roles and groups but I didn't find anything close to this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Log on to SAS Environment Manager and navigate to Analyze -> Report Center (make sure browser pop-ups are enabled). Once in the Report Center, on the folders tree on the left, navigate to Stored Processes -> Products -> SAS Environment Manager -> Nightly Reports -> ACM Reports and it will list out all the available ACM reports. For APM reports, navigate to Stored Processes -> System -> Applications -> SAS Environment Manager -> Ad Hoc Reporting. Thank you.

Hi There, I have configured my sas environment to capture ACM and APM data feeds. But I have been trying to lookup for possible ways to monitor this data in Environment Manager. Is there's a way to monitor this data from Environment Manager? or is it possible to set up alerts (email alerts or alerts on Environment Manager) based on these data? Can we get any reports out of these data feeds? Any help would be greately appreciated. Thank you.
