I forgot to add one variable called school tele health yes/no so that we could comapre the rates with those school who have tele heallth clinc vs not. school Tele clinic (yes/no) pre ED count at intervention ED count after ED count (2015) after ED count(2016) A YES 50 60 13 30 B NO 151 122 155 160 would like to answer: 1. how to know school tele health have reduced the ED volumn at 1. first year(2015) 2. second year (2016) 2. magnitude of reduction like ED volumn were reduced by x % at schools who have school tele health clinic comapred to those who do not have school tele health clinic I would really appricate if you could answer those questions Thank you so much in advance:)

Hi All, I have quick question on how to analyze pre and post count data to know the effectiveness of school tele health program on ED (emergency Department) volumne reduction. For example, We have opened a tele health clinic on X number of school.I would like to comapre if tele health clinic have any impact on ED redcution. My data would be like this: Schoolname beforeED count(2013) At intervention ED count(2014) After ED count(2015) After ED count(2016) ABC 60 70 30 35 DEF 150 56 28 13 . . . Sorry for late reply Objective is to count the numbe ro of ED and hospitalization BEFORE AND AFTER his first visit to clinic A here is my orginal data ID Date Visit type 1 2/1 ED 1 2/2 hospitalization 1 2/3 clinic A 1 2/4 ED 1 5/4 ED 1 6/10 hospitalization 2 2/1 ED 2 2/5 ED 2 2/10 clinic A 2 2/13 hospitalization 2 21/4 ED For ID 1 the visit date of clinic A is 2/3 so count the visit to ED and hospitalization before and after this date like so, ID before_ED before_hospitalization after_ed After_hospitalization 1 1 1 2 1 2 2 0 1 1 there were 1 ED in 2/1 that is before his viist to clinnic A in 2/3 so it was calcuated to before ED. Does it make sence? Please HELP Thanks

David, I would like to count the number of ED after clinic date. In this example we only have one ed encounter so this code worked. But data contains multiple visits to visit after clinic visit so how do I count the number of ED encounter? Please advise Thank you

Thank you. I just have a 2016 data when patient started useing the clinic. Thier claims data of 2015 is what I am considering pre data. Even in 2016 not all participated on clinic( meaning any encounter at that clinic) form jan 2016. The analysis is very tricky as we do not have solid a year of data. hwta do you remcomend in this senario? Bottom line is we have x clinc users who are defined as any encounter in that clinic in 2016. Ans we have case mached contro who have no encounter in that clinic. Both case and control are the employee of ABC. And we have claims data of 2015 and 2016 of those case adn control. we are trying to figure out if clinc users are less likey to use ED than control AND pre and post test of their ED ustilization in 2015 and 2016. Does it make sence? I have basic statistic so I am not really sure how to handel this type of analsis. And Thank you for your help.

Hi All, I am to select a location to open a school health clinic that would give me the best likelihood of getting sucess . The outcome variable that would determine the sucess of program evaluation are 1. decreases ED rate 2. patient/school nurse satisfaction etc. what is the best approch here. I have all claims utilization from geographic point (zipcode) and census data. The indicator that I think would be benificial to explain are 1. racial Distribution 2. low acuity ED visit 3. ED rates Etc The point is how I do I proceed and tell the story that this particular clinic has higher likelihood in terms of stattistical point of view. Do I have to create a "Index" or "Algorithm". i struggle on getting all information together to get one robust desision. Any help basic to advance would be highly appriciated Thank you

Thank you for promt reply. I have quick question. Since the enrolment/clinic use didnot happen at the same time for all subject, do we have to consider a person-time insead of regular denominator while we calculate RR?
