Dear Chris,   Thank you for your responce.   You are correct .   Allow me to clarify. Unfortunately the problem persists.. Any way the contents of the first dataset (HAVE ) start from "data HAVE;" and end to the first "run;" The contents of the wanted dataset start from "data WANT;" and end to the second "run;"...I think it will work if copied and paste to SAS workspace. Dear all, I have the DATA SET HAVE with by groups as shown. I want dataset WANT where the by group is ordered as shown (I need them ordered by date as well). I cannot figure the right variable sort ordering. Any hint/suggestion would be more than welcome. Full Join-Calculate Sums but not enough joining keys

Dear all,   I have two datasets, HAVE and TEMP (quite many observations)   HAVE has the variables   FileNO PRODUCT Date_PMT PMT_AMOUNT   TEMP has the same as TEMP variables plus two more   FileNO PRODUCT Date_PMT PMT_AMOUNT   STATUS PRD PMT_DTL_NO     The issue is that vars STATUSPRD  and PMTDTLNO do not exist in HAVE (then I would have one-to-one maching) My goal is to compare "Total PMT AMOUNT" by PRODUCT and by QTR_YR (can be derived from var Date_PMT) from both Datasets.   I tried a FULL JOIN but one-to -many joins occur.   Then I run PROC TABULATE but now I have distorted "Total PMTAMOUNT" due to one-to -many joins.   I have attached a png that shows various cases (before the FULL JOIN)   Any suggestions /hints will be more than welcome.   Thanking you in advance.                                         ... Dear all,   I have a library with many datasets. I am only considered in two special sets of datasets 1st group ADS_HLK_date1, PLKS_ERT_HLK_date2, HIO_TRE_HLK_OPT_date3 etc.. (all of these datasets of interest have in common _HLK_ )   2nd group TUI_FRT_GOO_date1, HGK_ERT_GOO_999_date2, HIO_TRE_GOO_LIT_date3 etc.. (all of these datasets of interest have in common _GOO_ )   The real problem is although both sets of tables they have identical variables NUMVAR1, CHARVAR1,NUMVAR2,NUMVAR3,NUMVAR4,NUMVAR5,CHARVAR2,CHARVAR3 etc.   in the first set (i.e._HLK_) some numeric variables NUMVAR(i) have CHARACTER FORMATS while in the second set they have NUMERIC FORMATS the same applies for the character variables CHARVAR(i) , in one set (i.e. _GOO_) have character formats of certain type i.e. $CHAR20. but in the other set they appear to haave different character formats i.e. $15.   I would like to "homogenise":   1st-- the numeric formats across ALL sets (both _GOO_ and _HLK_) by changing the LENGTH and CHARACTER FORMAT to the ones with the NUMERIC represantation   2nd-- the various character formats and LENGTHS across ALL datasets.   in order to CONCATENATE all datasets in one table.   I would more than welcome any hints/suggestions.   Thank you in advance. ... Dear all,   I am running the attached code:   ods html; proc report data=sashelp.prdsale(keep=country region actual predict) style(summary)=Header; column country region actual predict; define country / group; define region /group; define actual /analysis sum; define predict /analysis sum; break after country / summarize; rbreak after /summarize; compute after country;  country = catx(' ',"Subtotal for Country",region); endcomp; compute after ;  country = "Country GrandTotal"; endcomp; run; ods html close;   My problems are as follows:   1).--  I would like to create a VERTICAL,say gray coloured line, between ACTUAL and PREDICT variables.   2).-- I try to create a label "Subtotal for Country",after Country but it is not being created   3).-- the same happens to "Country GrandTotal" which is being "trimmed" Is it possible that I can "merge" the empty box of region in order to span the lengthy labels?   Any hints / suggestions would be more than welcome.   Thanking you in advance.   Best regards ...
