auto-size (set width to size of the column) output columns

In Excel, if you select an entire worksheet you can then auto-size all the columns easily. 

SAS EG should have that same capability...or, even better, have an option in the settings that auto-sizes all output screens.

I would actually vote against this idea if the forum still allowed that.

Reason: different ODS destinations have different needs. I would NOT want that for RTF, PDF or HTML (in various flavors).

Since the ODS Excel destination allows setting column widths as an option then it is under your control for Excel output.

I think you may have a very specific example in mind but you did not provide supporting reasons as to why or where this might be a desirable option to apply to "all output screens".

I was referring to the output data tab in particularly.  Being able to auto-size would be nice.  You wouldn't have to use it.

This suggestion has been made previously and is under consideration for a future release of SAS Enterprise Guide.

I would 100% want this option. It seems crazy that there is no option to autosize columns already!
