You can cross connect machines eguide -> local -> Linux  (nested connect) and when running a SAS-spawner aside on your deskop   Eguide -> Linux -> desktop

The concept of asynchonous processing let you run all those under control from one starting point.  That is the output-log files and io needing to be freed form your local machine including keybord/screen

The  attention points:

- asynchronous processing mode is needed for connect.   waitfor , rget  status are statemetns for controlling sessions

- the signon statement setting up those connections probably needing user/pswd combinations a smart macro is probably needed for that.

- macros vars needed in one session and the other are to be synchronized

More easy is the used of EGuide connecting each program to a server like "local"and "Linux" and  the dependicies is a line between those programs

In that case you are not needing a remote signing or using SAS connect.
