I just switched over from base SAS to Enterprise Guide.  One thing that I very much miss is having the log visible during the processing so that I can keep an eye on it and watch for errors to go by (in which case I would kill the program early to go investigate what caused the error.

I would love if you would bring that to SAS EG instead of just displaying a status that things are running and then displaying the entire log at the end.

Thanks for letting us make suggestions!

You can manually select the LOG tab in EG while a program is running and watch the program steps as they run (I'm using V 7.11).

EG collects the log while the steps are running. If it finds a WARNING or ERROR, it shows a yellow exclamation mark or a red x in the upper left corner of the task icon in the process flow. This is more reliable than watching the log yourself.
