It should be able to export reportobjects (list tables, cross tabs, etc.) to Excel through HTML 5. We updated to SAS Visual Analytics 7.3 and noticed that exports to Excel are not possible through HTML 5 so we went back to Flash Player. Currently only our front page is running through HTML 5.

Must be issue no #1 to fix in SAS VA modern viewer - major mistake not to have fixed that in 7.3.

There is a real need for this if I want people in my organization to start using VA

This is an essential fix.

The number one thing that users ask is : "Can I export the data and put it in a report/excel/word'

This functionality needs to be built into the Modern viewer as a priority.

In a large institution like ours it is becoming increasingly common to make data and other insigned available to our users via SAS-VA. While we try to anticipate the user's needs many feel that they would like to have access to certain data in a way that  they are comfortable to manipulate. For the majority of users this is MS Excel. Not having the ability to export report data is hampering our users doing their business and increases workload for all involved.

The ability to export from modern viewer is available beginning with 7.4.

One of our user's 'discovered' this new feature the other day. Fantastic to see it here. Also the export graph/table to an image is very helpful. Previously I had to rely on screenshots in order to generate paper based reports.
