You can select all and then paste somewhere else, but it would be nice to simply be able to do a 'find' within the log.

I would suggest mentioning the specific "add in" in the text of the suggestion and not just as tag. Just in case the tags aren't captured with any search tool the folks at SAS use to evaluate responses to the suggestions.

Have you seen a find function in *any* SAS Add-In Log?

I have not seen a log in any "Add-in" because I have never worked in a shop with any licensed. But ballot ideas would likely get seen by different teams at SAS depending on the topic. The team for the Microsoft add in might not see this as that would be different staff than does the forecasting studio or risk management or whatever else might generate a separate "log".

The older annual SAS ballot had the items to vote grouped by topic such as data step, system options or licensed modules. So just getting things explicitly pointed towards the intended target might make the process go a bit smoother.

@tomrvincent are you talking about the SAS log that you turn on in SAS->Tools->Options->Results->Show SAS Log?  Have you tried CNTL-F in the log window?

Of course.  I get a nasty 'unhandled exception' error from that.  Nothing on the right-click menu other than 'select all'.  Just loading the log into notepad would solve the problem.

@tomrvincent, would like me to open a TS track for you in regards to this issue?  The CNTL-F should work in the log window.

Sure...thanks!
