An Idea Exchange for SAS software and services

I found the previous version of the board editors to be a terrible pain. I can't paste code from the SAS enhanced editor that is readable or complete. When I copy code from the board posts and post in the SAS editor it usually needs to be cleaned up before I can run it.

I am afraid that adding "cool things" is going to make testing and posting examples even more of a headache then it has been.

One of the best ways to include code in a post is to put the code in at text file and attach it to the post.

The other way it to sele the HTML link to the far right of the editor, which opens a flat editor.  Add a <pre> and a </pre> tag to the post, then past your content there.  Because this is HTML, you may have to encode angle brackets using &lg; and &gt;

Hiding the code in an attachment makes the posts much less useful.  That should be reserved for long blocks of code.

My organization's security software is real picky about the domains from which we may download. I had to make a security request to have any access to this site as it had been blocked for violating some "rule".

It would be nice if there were some plugin to insert Greek letters, which is often useful to describe statistical models.

Btw, It isn't difficult to create Greek letters, but a bit secret (change to html and write for instance &alpha; ).
