It would be helpfull, if we have Multiple selection drop down list. which consumes less space and have the ability for multiple selections.

If this is for SAS Visual Analytics, you can place a list control in a prompt container.

Update on this idea: Object templates, available in SAS Visual Analytics 8.3, can support this use case. They enable you to combine VA objects and re-use them in other reports. Then, you can use Madelyn's above suggestion to create a new object template. In this way, you create this template once, share and use going forward. See the related doc on object templates.

Wow, this one really is a "must-have" for any graphical user interface. I find it astounding that the original post was five years ago. As this is sort of thing Excel can already do, out of the box, I would have hoped that a grown-up tool like SAS/Visual Analytics would also offer this.

 

The Drop-down list needs to be able to handle one or more selections.
