Currently in EG it's possible to set the default active server at the profile level (Tools/Options/Administration/Modify/Servers/Select a default server for the active profile). In my current SAS environment I work on projects that are segmented to different servers typically by group. For example, I may be assigned to work on a project X with Customer1 and their work/data is located on server A and I may also be assigned to work on a project Y with Customer2 and their work/data is located on server B.

If server A is my default server then every time I work on project Y for Customer2 all my programs, etc. I create are automatically defaulted to use server A because it's the default for my profile which means I have to remember to change them all to server B.

It would be great if I could set the default server at the project level then I wouldn't have to change all the programs, etc. to the other server but instead I would just set the server at the project level. For example, I would like to be able to set the default server at the profile level like we can now but I would like the additional functionality to override this default at the project level and for that override to be persisent so that when I open that project up in the future that override is saved as part of the project.

I'm using Base SAS 9.4 Grid and SAS EG 6.1.
