Macro

Hi,

I am seriously thinking of learning SAS Macros. Can someone pls tell me a good book to start with? I have searched the net for valuable inputs and it shows two books- one by Art Carpenter and another by Michele M. Burlew. Out of the two, which one is best suited for a very beginner like me? I am into clinical field, and would like to know if there is any other source that is particularly useful for me.

I suggest looking up the papers, especially Hands On Workshops from the SAS conferences on the support.sas.com website.

The workshops should include worked examples of creating a macro to resolve a particular problem.

I also favour the Technical Support note area on the SAS website. There are many subject areas, macro and base issues are among those dealt with at http://support.sas.com/resources/papers/tnote/tnote_base.html.

I like Michele's style of writing. But I don't think you can ever go wrong with any book from SASPress.
