Hi Team,

I have a requirement ,where in I have a hyperlink in one column of a wrs report (achieved via information map) and on clicking the hyperlink another wrs report must be called which is having prompts .

If I use report linking feature of WRS then all columns get the hyperink wherein my requirement is to get hyperlink in only one column which I have achieved using Information map.

So, is there any solution where I can call the second report from the first report by passing the prompt value on clicking the hyperlink.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Rupasree

You can pass the value of a data item in a source report to a prompt in a second report. This sample provides an example:

Thanks for your reply.

But as I have mentioned in my earlier post that I need hyperlink only in one column wherein the solution in the link provided by you will create hyperlinks in all columns.

For example, my report1 has five columns A,B,C,D,E where i have hyperlink in column E only.On clicking the hyperlink in column E report should get opened by passing the prompt value.

Please guide.

Thanks in advance

Web Report Studio does not support passing the prompt value via one data item that is defined as a hyperlink. You would have to use the built-in linking feature.

Hi again,

Thanks for your response.

So, is there a way where I can pass the URL(with prompt) of the second report in dataitem with hyperlink as mentioned in the User Guide of WRS 4.4.

PFA of snapshot of WRS User Guide.

Thanks in advance.
