Predefined Lookup Tables in SAS Viya (Intelligent Decisioning)

Hi,

I'm looking to have a better understanding of how the Predefined Lookup Tables (Treatment Channels and Subject Level) are meant to be populated in SAS Viya. For example, suppose I'd like to add a Customer subject level. My guess would be that the value of an added entry should be 'Customer'. But then what purpose does the key serve in this case? How are both key and value used from these lookup tables, when using a Record Contacts node?
