Steps to set up Viya pay as you go on Azure

Hi,

I've been trying to deploy SAS Viya Pay as you go to Azure for almost a month without success.

Regardless of what options and settings, I get the following message "The resource write operation failed to complete successfully, because it reached terminal provisioning state 'Failed'.  I've now got a screeen full of unsuccessful deployments.

I see others have had similar issues, but even after following Rich Main's youtube video https://youtu.be/kHYaj5qiPow I am unable to successully deploy.  I've spoken with SAS tech support and they say that they don't provide support to Viya on Azure and I should speak with Microsoft or post here.  The doc links on other posting don't open for me so I can't find any solutions here that work for me.

I have a pay as you go subscription to Azure, so not the trial version.

Also I'm using a SSH public key stored in Azure - not sure if that is the problem.

I'm in South East Australia and I believe that deployment isn't possible at this location, so I've tried several others, such as East and West USA, but still no luck.

Appreciate it if anyone has successfully deployed and can share settings or any way to get beyond the error.  Are there any prerequisites or post creation steps that I can use? Do I need to set up a VM in Azure first to host Viya?

@gordononline, I'm sorry to hear that you've been having so many issues with your deployments.

We resolved an issue at the end of last week that I think may have been affecting many if not all deployments from early November. It's possible that your attempts may have been included in that. If you clear out those old deployments and attempt a new one in a known good region (say, US West), and try again, what do you get?

If the deployment fails, and hopefully it doesn't, can you open the details of the error and send them over?
