Hi all,

I am running a "Viya pay as you go" instance.

I am wondering whether I can configure access to DB2. In the admin guide there are references to access to JDBC, ORACLE and MYSQL.

I followed instructions on the DB2 driver and have managed to put the necessary db2/db2client folders on the jumpbox, Connecting to DB2 from the jumpbox works fine. But I struggle to see how and where i can change the access.properties file to set the environment variables.

Many thanks in advance,

Michel

@sbimip, I believe that you should be able to modify the "startup commands" for the sas.compute.server definition to add those environment variables:

This should make those environment variables in your Compute (Studio) sessions.

Hi @cj_blake

Many thanks for your support!!

I put the environment variables in the startup commands definition in EV and they appear to get through to a sas studio session,

but i still get an ERROR: "The SAS/ACCESS Interface to DB2 cannot be loaded. The SASDBU code appendage could not be loaded. ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement."  ...

Alright. It might be that you need to update your LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable to point to the location of those client file that you loaded. See here.
