We are officially in the back half of the year, but the height of summer (or winter depending on where you are in the world), has not slowed us down.
We are back with another SAS Viya Release with cool new capabilities across the analytics lifecycle. With the latest release, you can reduce needless data movement with in-database analytics for Cloudera, improve customer satisfaction by turning your chatbots into digital assistants, train better models with synthetic image data using StyleGANs, support Actor-Critic method for Reinforcement Learning, and better understand how well your marketing content is working with new Market Attribution Models. Finally, be able to compare performance of multiple deployed models from a single summary page.
Here is what you will see in the Rundown:
SAS Conversation Designer
Digital Assistant is here! A sophisticated chatbot that is tightly integrated with other parts of your web application and can proactively offer help and guidance.
SAS Visual Data Mining and Machine Learning:
- StyleGANs! A new action set for training generative adversarial networks, or GANs, which are models that can synthesize new data that have the same characteristics as the original or training data.
- In reinforcement learning, support to train the policy model using an Actor-Critic method, addressing the common problem of high degree of variance and noise in the gradient.
- A new action set to support different type of market attribution models to better understand which marketing content is useful to customers.
Last but not least, in the Release Talk section of the show, we cover an in-depth review of the new capability in SAS Model Manager to create customized reports with the ability to compare performance for multiple models within the same report. Quickly see if your champion model is still outperforming challenger models or other models within your project. The performance charts now include natural language to help users better understand how to interpret their model's performance.
