Hi all

I'm launching a public report in a few days. Is there any way I can monitor the number of visitors accessing the report?

Anyone have an idea how I can follow the report popularity, I guess it'll be difficult to integrate a web analytics product to SAS - but could it be registered in a server log?

Best regards

Hello @MikA,

exactly as @itchyeyeballs says, your options are:

- Integrate with Google Analytics or similar service. You will need an account, inser the code Google provides you on the right jsp, and open the connection to internet.

- A good option is to enable the Audit Reports that come with SAS VA, these reports will give you rich information: https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Communities-Library/Getting-started-with-SAS-Visual-Analytics-7-1...

- another option, is to just read and/or the logs from your web application (/sas/config/LevX/Web/Logs/SASServer12_1), they will give you the information of whom is connecting and to what. If that information is not enough, you can extend the Logging of those logs http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/logug/67485/HTML/default/viewer.htm#titlepage.htm

By the way, the public report is accessed as an anonymous user - perhaps, there is a user log somewhere?

Hi,

If you go into the administrator - manage environment section (under main menu if you have permissions) then click view, there is a VA report showing all sorts of stats like these (I think its possble to enable google analytics as well)

Thanks to @itchyeyeballs and @JuanS_OCS for great contributions - I will give both options a try.
Initially I'm having troubles loading /generating the Audit Reports... I might get back to you if the manual is not sufficient. Cheers, MikA
