Using a prompt container to hold a list control has all of the folllowing benefits:

  • it enables you to create a multi-selection drop-down list
  • it enables you to place a list control in a section or report prompt area
  • it saves space in your report because the values in the list control are hidden until you expand the prompt container

Suggested steps are:

  1. Insert the prompt container into your report.
  2. Expand the prompt container.
  3. Drag the list control into the open container.
