Greetings,

We have a few bar charts and have assigned "Data Colors" but when we view the report the colors are not used. It isn't that the shade or tone is different, the colors are dramatically different or all the same. We have a very "active" web compliance group and they are complaining about the use of color. Has anyone else experienced this? (Not the web group issue but the change of colors) : )

I attached an image that has what the color assignments are in "Report Designer" and what they are when rendered on a web page.

Thanks as always!

It looks like the viewer is using the default colors, which makes me think that an older copy of the report (before the color change) is cached. What browser is being used? If they clear the history, does that resolve the issue. I tried to reproduce this but I could not.

Thanks, Madelyn!

We are using Chrome and I.E. as well as iPad. All three display the same colors which are not the selected colors in the report.

Clearing the cache did not solve the issue. Here is a link to the report (it is publicly consumable);

Enrollment - the Enrollment Explorations tab

What colors do you see?

I see the incorrect colors.

Are you using a custom theme in this report?

Can you try switching to one of the default themes, just temporarily, to see if the colors you set on the Style tab are picked up? My suspicion is that the custom theme is overriding your selections.

Will do, probably not today though.

The colors I am trying to use though are the ones in the custom theme and I built this report from scratch with a template that uses that theme.

Thanks!

I am wondering if you might be running into this issue

Note that customized report themes are supported with the hot fix from the note, but custom application themes are not supported in the modern viewer.

Hey Madelyn,

We are trying to get SAS to help us with this but I discovered that if I change all of the colors in our report to a different arbitrary color (I chose black)  and then reassign our college's palette of colors the graphs seem to display correctly although I have seen a random odd color appear.

Thanks,

Gary
