Hi~

When I check the license of SAS LASR analytic server,

I've got the following message.

$./applylasrlic

SiteID: *******

Expiration: ************

LASR MPP CPUS: 256
LASR SMP CPUS: 0
HPA MPP CPUS: 0
HPA SMP CPUS: 0

Does that mean that even if i have a cluster of 512 cores, lasr server is limited to 256 cores?

Hello,

Without the license being updated to reflect the upgrades to the servers I would not expect the additional cores to be used,

if they are being used then they are out of compliance.

These are licensing questions that need to be discussed with Contracts and/or the customers account representative.

Younes

Hi @noh9pil,

Is the hyperthreading turned on?

In the SAS contract paper work, you will find number of cores and vcores licensed for. vcores stand for virtual cores after enabling hyprthreading. So 1 core after hyperthreading is equal to 2 vcores. This can also be a case for you.
