The domain name has changed e.g. from "sas.abc.com" to "abcsas.com"
I can check only sas web server is running with host IP address and can't access any SAS VA through web interface.
I found this page, but it's not helpful for me.
http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/bisag/64088/HTML/default/viewer.htm#a003362103.htm
Example 3 is the case (but VA is runing in non-distributed mode)
Current SAS VA is 7.3 on SAS 9.4 (Web Server).
Can you give some instruction of how to update host name in this case?
Thanks!
Hi @joshsuihn,
you can follow that guidelines, but I would rather use the updated version for SAS 9.4: https://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/bisag/68240/HTML/default/viewer.htm#n0zdcqxsmd21wtn17vt...
More complete.
Only some remarks or additions:
- Beware of all the dependencies related to an update of the domain change (users, hosts, certificates if any, etc)
- Please read : 'Modifications Not Performed by the Update Host Name References Tool"
- At the end of the process, you still might need to use a grep utility to go through your config/text files and identify/replace the old by the new string.
