Hi Experts,

Could someone can please guide me to understand the already built SAS VA reports.

where to open the reports for that designer or explorer ?

I want to find the underlying variables used and what is the calculation done if it was new measure.

and last one can I see the underlying query for that report that ran by selecting filter or any object I select.

Really appreciate your response.

Many Thanks in advance,

Thanks,

Vicks

Open the VA report in the Report Viewer. On the top right of the viewer window you should see three vertical dots which if you click on it will display the viewer menu. One of the options is to  - Edit the report. Select this to open this report in the Report Build window.

To see the variables in the report select the Data menu. Hover over each of the variables in the Data List to see what type they are. On Calculated Items you should be able to right click an option that displays the formula for it.

Thanks @Sas Kiwi that works for me.

How about the underlying query when the report ran.

Thank you,

@vickys  - Every action you take on a VA report will trigger some form of processing so I'm not sure what you want to see here.

@Konu-Tec 's suggestion of Cntrl Alt B will bring up the XML of the report definition but doesn't show what processing is being done.
