Good afternoon,

I am trying to create custom categories for my dynamic parameters using SAS VA; however, I am experiencing some limitations with my data set:

Currently I have the following tables:

CustomerID    Gender    Age Group   Region      Assets         Liabilities

156254               Male          20-30            NE        $120,000           $56,000

264856             Female        30-40           NW        $200,000         $115,000

354128               Male          30-40           SW        $115,000           $50,000

123254               Male          20-30            SE        $135,000           $60,000

264586             Female        20-30           NE        $215,000           $15,000

315238               Male          50-60           NW        $155,000           $90,000

I am trying to create three pie charts based on:

  • Count of Total Customers
  • Sum of Total Assets
  • Sum of Total Liabilities

Using Gender, Age and Region as the parameters

I found a few examples where the parameters were Assets, Liabilities, Profit, Expenses ...;however nothing where the parameter is a defined category. If anyone has any idea on how to proceed, please let me know. Thank you,

CJ

What about using a stacked container to achieve what you are after? Check out this blog post which also has a link about setting up category parameters http://blogs.sas.com/content/sgf/2016/05/25/use-a-stack-container-to-pick-your-category-in-visual-an...

Kind Regards,
