DOSUBL is a powerful and robust alternative to the CALL EXECUTE subroutine and other data driven programming techniques. The presentation will focus on giving a light primer on DOSUBL and how it evaluates against different data-driven and automation techniques. As well, several use-case scenarios will be described to showcase how DOSUBL can be used to support more complex logic, such as function style macros and invoking proc sql in a data step. The information presented will provide a good steppingstone to encourage SAS programmers of varying technical skills to employ DOSUBL in their workflow and expand their programming arsenal.
