Spring has sprung! Bloom your users group & host a meeting

You've registered your group and requested support. Now what?!

It's time to start planning for your meeing!

  • Determine your location.
  • Arrange for speakers, including a presentation from another member. What's better than learning from your peers who are doing amazing things in their organization? Your members will be excited about sharing information.
  • Create your agenda.
  • Invite members and prospective members and ask them to register. Pro tip: don't forget to include language in the registration process that allows you to share their contact information with SAS.
  • At the meeting, encourage members to be active participants. Volunteering to be a future speaker, helping with admin tasks, contributing to a blog or some other social media channel are great examples!

Need help crafting your agenda? The Users Group Programs team can help provide you with a sample.

You're probably thinking "Does SAS provide any support for my meeting?" But of course we do! Here's what you get from SAS:

  • In-person or virtual speaker
  • Emails (invitations, reminders, thank you)
  • Registration
  • Giveaways
  • Book certificates
  • E-learning certificates
  • Event listing on the SAS website (local, special interest and regional users groups only)

The Users Group Program team is here to help support you if you have any questions. It's your time to grow and bloom - it is spring after all! Smiley Happy
