Hello.  I am trying to use the Text Import node in SAS Enterprise Miner, but I get this error message:

Proc tgfilter reports ERROR: The SAS Document Conversion server is not running on the specified host ("192.168.5.114")

Any thoughts / solutions please.  Regards, Chris

Chris,

The document conversion server should have been installed at the time you installed SAS Text Miner. It is a service that is typically installed on the machine you are running EM/TM on.  In Windows, if you look in your services control panel, you will see SAS Document Conversion service there if it was installed. Maybe you just need to restart it? Also, the serivice does not need to be on the same machine as TM. The Node communicates to it via a machine name and port and that is specified with options on the sas config file

-DCSHOST machinename

-DCSPORT port

If you dont think it is installed anywhere, you should check with your sas admin and then follow up with Tech Support.
