Unable to launch SAS Studio

Hi All,

 

I have successfully installed Virtual box and imported SAS to it and below is the error i get on trying to launch the SAS Studio . 

Kindly assist on this.

My Virtualization settings in BIOS is too enabled and my OS is a 64 bit one Windows 7.

 

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine SAS University Edition.

The virtual machine 'SAS University Edition' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1). More details may be available in 'C:\Users\Anantha\VirtualBox VMs\SAS University Edition\Logs\VBoxHardening.log'.

Can you show a screenshot of your VM set up? 

 

I assume your using VBox 5.1.2?

 

I haven't seen this error before so you may want to contact support@sas.com

If you open the .log file what does it say?

 

Also, is this your first SAS installation or are you replacing an expired version.

I have attached the log fine and yes this is my first SAS installation .

Hi Anantha!

 

Have you tried rebooting your system and attempting to start the VM again? Please be sure to power off the virtual machine before rebooting to prevent corruption.

 

Also, have you tried redownloading and reimporting the SAS University Edition OVA file?

 

If you are using Avira Antivirus software, it may be causing this issue. Avira has been known to cause this error in VirtualBox, so I would recommend finding another antivirus solution to replace it.

 

If you are not using Avira or the problem persists after uninstalling Avira, I recommend reverting to a previous build of VirtualBox, like VirtualBox 5.0.24.

Jimmy,

I have the same issue, and your advice hasn't helped so far. I'm running VirtualBox 5.0.2

virtual box 5.0.24 works well if you are facing problem with the newer version
