Selecting and submitting code

Dear all,

I couldn't find answers in help doc, hoping someone else had same issue and found the solution

I just downloaded this SAS edition. I can't figure out how to select and run sub-code in the program. It doesn't allow me to make a selection in the first place, and even if I don't go in 'edit' mode (I don't understand how to get that 'edit button back either)  and manage to highlight the part of the code, it still will run every single sub-code starting from the beggining.

Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

THank you

And I can reply to myself: just install Google Chrome and everything will be just perfect.

Re: Selecting and submitting code

@Nat

I'm curious. What browser were you using before you installed Chrome?

Another question :-)  Were you running a Task (from the Tasks accordion on the left)? Say a Regression task.  If it was a Task then the code in the right panel is "read only" as the code is being generated for you by the options in the left panel. The Edit button in a task''s "code view" is used to open the code up in a .sas format so that you can edit it. Basically, the code whe you click Edit is severed from the Task mothership. If you go back to the task you'll see the original Task/code with the Edit button. You may be interested in reading about the power and flexibility of Tasks.

Re: Selecting and submitting code

I was using Safari, and some of the functionalities just didn't work. For isntance, I couldn't right-click and choose run a part od a code. Now I can though.

Everything is done in the 'Code' window at this moment, and it all works.

Oh, and I am running it on Mac.

Thank you so much for your suggestions!
