We have Stored Processes that uses Information Maps. While creating the Stored Process we have an option to select the parameters "&_InfoMapUser" and "&_InfoMapPassword".

Code looks like this.

libname _egmle sasioime
user="&_InfoMapUser"
pw="&_InfoMapPassword"
metaserver=%sysfunc(getoption(metaserver))
metaport=%sysfunc(getoption(metaport))
metarepository="Foundation"
mappath="/BIP Tree/ReportStudio/Maps/PTS Specific Maps"
PRESERVE_TAB_NAMES=YES;

Also,

* _INFOMAPUSER
* Type: String
* Group: > General
* Label: Information Map User ID
* Attr: Hidden
* Default: myuser@bssgroup.com
* Desc: User ID used to access this Information Map
* ____________________________________

I understand that these parameters are used to access the Information Maps.

Queries:
1. Are these mandatory or optional
2. Is it necessary to specify the Default value
3. Currently we are facing an issue that if the user "myuser" is deleted from the system the Stored Process gives error while executing. It has some references as shown above. How can i remove the references as the user might be deleted some day.

Hi:
Since Information Maps use the Workspace server and since Stored Processes that use Information Maps also need to use the Workspace server and since the Workspace server, in some configurations, uses this information to authenticate/authorize the user, then the use of the ID and password may be required. It does depend on the configuration of your Workspace server.

The best place to get these questions answered is to contact Tech Support, because they can help you figure out exactly what is happening and whether the default is required, and whether there's a workaround for the issue -- given your particular configuration environment.
