Anyone experienced problems with "invisible" data in DI Studio?

Hi everyone,

not sure if this is the right place, but couldn't find a more suitable one.

Did any of you experience the issue in DI Studio, that with "view data" existing data is not visible unless you view it in "edit mode"?

Even the jobs do not "see" the data and just run without using any.

Thanks a lot,

Hi Thomas

You're very right that there is no forum for DI. And it's even worse because with DI problems one would often have to add a screen shot.

As for your question: It sounds a bit strange to me that your job doesn't pick up the data. Because there the metadata have no more influence (they are used to generate the SAS code which is executed). Did you have a look at the generated SAS code? May be something with the mapping is not o.k. Did you propagate/remap your objects? It must be something like that. Have a look at your code - and the log to see where you "loose" the data.

Hi Patric,

thanks for the quick reply. Actually, the code is OK. Even with a simple table loader it doesn't work, as the data is not even displayed with right click on "view data" unless you change to "edit mode". So the data doesn't get lost, it is never even picked up by the job. I've tried creating a new library with new data, but the same thing happens.

Hi:
With this kind of problem, your best bet is to contact Tech Support -- frequently, they will need to look at the attributes of the library and possibly look at your generated code and your metadata to help you resolve the issue. This is really too much to post on the forum and you frequently do need to use a screen shot to show -exactly- what you mean.
