repeated measures -- summed events by id

I would like the following data output (outcomes over time summed for each patient):

patient Out1 Out2 Out3...more output variables...
1          2        1        2
2          1        0        1
3          0        0        6

from the following data:

patient Out1 Out2 Out3...more output variables...
1          0        0        1
1          1        0        1
1          0        1        0
1          0        0        0
1          1        0        0
2          0        0        0
2          1        0        0
2          0        0        0
2          0        0        1
2          0        0        0
2          .         0        0
2          0        0        0
2          0        .         0
3          0        0        1
3          0        0        1
3          .         0        1
3          .         0        1
3          .         0        1
3          .         0        1

Thank you in advance for any help.

Re: repeated measures -- summed events by id

If you need a dataset:

Proc summary data=have nway;

   class patient;

   var out:  ; /* any list of variables you want to sum*/

   output out=want sum=; /* the option sum= this way means that the result data set will have the same names, use /autoname to have them named Out1_sum Out2_sum etc. */

run;

If a report something like this:

Proc tabulate data=have;

   class patient;

   var out: ; /* again list of variables*/

   table patient,

            (out:  )*sum=;

run;

Repeat the variables from the VAR statement to inside the ()
