proc countreg error (Termination due to Floating Point Exception)

I get the following error message every time I run a count model using proc countreg. Also the procedure stops and no output is generated. Does anyone have any suggestions....

proc countreg data = work.test1 method = qn;
model y = &I_VAR. /dist=zinegbin;
zeromodel y ~ ;
output out =test2 pred = Fit;

run;

The follwoing error appears:

NOTE: Convergence criterion (FCONV=2.220446E-16) satisfied.
NOTE: At least one element of the (projected) gradient is greater than 1e-3.
ERROR: Floating Point Zero Divide.
ERROR: Termination due to Floating Point Exception
NOTE: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of errors.

Re: proc countreg error (Termination due to Floating Point Exception)

Usually, you should report floating point errors directly to Technical Support. Even if you have the wrong syntax, you should not get this kind of error. Are you using SAS 9.2 or 9.22? The procedure was experimental in 9.1, and experimental procedures are more likely to give this type of problem.

COUNTREG is part of the ETS package of SAS. Thus, you might also get more advice in the Forecasting Forum.

I use version 9.2. Thanks for the info.....I will follow up with the SAS tech folks.
