Dear all,

How are you?

Can I please ask if the "recommended" power transformation for the response from proc transreg boxcox will be affected given this warning?

  • WARNING: The BOXCOX LAMBDA= list contains extreme values.  Large values may cause overflows.

Please enlighten me on how it can be addressed.

Thank you very much.

You have extremely large (or small) values that when transformed are driving the estimation of lambda.  On back-transforming, you may get an exponential overflow.
