I have a data covering 20 years,  dependent and independent variables from each time period for each state in the united states.   I want to do a regression analysis which is longitudinal, and includes a time trend variable that can be interacted with race or ethnicity  for an outcome cancer mortality (dependent variable) and unisured rate( independent variable).
I am not sure how to go about this. I have so far imported all 3 excel files of the mortality rate for both whites , blacks and hispanics, and the unisured rate for all 50 states for the past 20 years.
