SAS vs S-plus output in proc mixed

Hi, I am doing a linear mixed effect model in SAS and I am getting very different results using S-plus. I have three variables: a subject ID, the log of the dose they received, and a log of a parameter I estimated for each subject.
In SAS I use this code:

proc mixed data=doses;
class subjid;
model cmax_log=dose_log/solution cl alpha=.1;
Random dose_log/subject=subjid solution ;
run;

and in s-plus I think the equivalent is this:

dpCmax_lme(cmax.log ~ dose.log, data=doses, random= ~ dose.log|subjid)

However, I am getting very different results that would lead to different conclusions. Are there default settings that are influencing the results? Am I doing the code wrong?

Thank you!
