PROC GENMOD for Poisson

[ Edited ]

Trying to run Possion using genmod, but SAS kept telling me I have a saturated model when I only have one single predictor?

data TWO;

input Predictor_Category Outcome_Count Total;
LTotal = log(Total);
cards;
1    30    351
2    6     39
3    2    80
4    8    71
5    17   169
6    8    118
7    40    281
8    76    281
9    50   318
10    43   586
run;

proc genmod data = TWO order = DATA;
class Predictor_Category;
model Outcome_Count = Predictor_Category / dist=poisson link=log
                 offset= LTotal type1 type3 ;
run;

Re: PROC GENMOD for Poisson

You do have a saturated model: you have 10 observations and your model specifies 10 parameter estimates. You'll have to come up with a new vision for analysis.
