I'm doing confirmatory factor analysis in PROC CALIS. I've noticed that if I fit a model with 2 factors or more, the "Standardized Factor Loading Matrix" provides "Estimate/StdErr/t-value/p-value" but if I do a single factor model, the p-values aren't included. Strangely, the path diagram does flag these paths with * (p < 0,05) or ** (p < 0.01).
Is there any way to obtain the p-values for the factor loadings in a single factor model? If not, can I calcluate the p-values myself using the t-value and N-1 as the denominator df or are matters perhaps more complicated? I'm using SAS 9.4M1 but have access to 9.4M3 if need be.
